I don’t think Muslim places of worship are appropriate near the site of Ground Zero. In fact, it’s insensitive. If 9/11 families were to, by majority, decide tomorrow that the mere sight of Muslims near Ground Zero will remind them of the pain and suffering, then Muslims, out of manners, should refrain from walking around the site. Although Muslims lost their loved ones in the tragedy of 9/11, it is immediately cancelled out by the fact that the 19 perpetrators were Muslim too. Their pain is clearly irrelevant

Let’s engage in some civilized discourse: if you were a White American and a family member or friend of yours was murdered by an African American, would you not think it insensitive for a Malcolm X community center to be built two blocks from you or the site of the murder? Would you not presume it a triumph for the “black” ideology? Of course not all African Americans are murderers but it would be named after a man who spewed hatred towards white people and it would be in “bad taste” to build it.
It is utterly understandable that the 9/11 terrorists are not representational of the entire Islamic faith but they still used “Islam” as their reason for attacking Americans. For that alone, we should collectively punish Muslims in the United States by getting angry and throwing protests at their places of worship near our holy sites. That’s the only way we can win against these terrorists. In addition, if we were to acquire information tomorrow that these terrorists also liked fried chicken, every KFC within the vicinity of Ground Zero should, in good taste so to speak, close down, or be moved at least seven blocks and three quarters away. That will show them that we will not acquiesce to their demands and that we will even consider our First Amendment permanent but shouldn’t be used by a certain religious minority. I mean, they can. But they shouldn’t. But, at least they can. Still, they shouldn’t.
What is even more demeaning is the Imam behind this project has basically blamed America for the 9/11 attacks. To be fair, so did Reverend Jeremiah Wright and therefore the Trinity United Church of Christ should never be established near Ground Zero. Why stop there though? Every church should refrain from construction because Wright did use the bible to justify some of his “anti-American” sentiments. In addition, Congressman Ron Paul should never be allowed to speak there either given his similar views on 9/11. By default, Republicans, due to their association with Dr. Paul, should, out of “good taste”, not engage in their group’s activities near the site.
The frightening matter lies in the fact that we still don’t know where the money is coming from. Granted that fundraising hasn’t really begun yet, but still, if an unprecedented issue is made from now, we might prevent them from using Saudi money to build this “triumphant” monument to terrorism. Saudi money is used to promote this creed of hatred. What we have recently learned was Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal of Saudi Arabia might partly fund this project and we should be outraged. This is the same man who is one of the biggest shareholders of Fox News’ parent company News Corps. Fox News and its employees should be barred from representation anywhere near the hallowed grounds of Ground Zero.
Let me be clear, in the words of the closeted Muslim Obama, this is not an issue of religious freedom. Of course they have a right to build there, but we should intimidate, protest, bully, galvanize, smear, kick and scream until a minority voluntarily gives up their right to religious freedom in a particular zone. That’s the brilliance of the American constitution.
Nothing could be further from the truth when people like myself are accused of bigotry. Clearly, this isn’t. It’s only bigotry if the noun “Jew” were to replace “Muslim” in this article.

This article has so many logical fallacies that its attempt at sarcasm is in the end disturbing. Most time bigots attack jews its just associating crimes of people who happen to be jewish with all jews. Even if the crime was not committed in the name of Judiasm and even if the person is not religiously jewish. He may only have a parent that is jewish and thats enough. The people that downed the towers did it in the name of Islam. Not that all muslims share their ideology or the affiliation with violence, but these people are still part of Islam. Just like crazy jewish settlers are a problem of jews because they perpetrate their craziness in the name of Judiasm.
But it's always been hard to explain to muslims the difference between religion and people. The common and absolutely ridiculous comparisons muslims make is that offense of the prophet mohammod is equal to offenses at the holocaust. It amazes me that they can't see the difference. That laughing at the prophet mohammod is like laughing at Moses or God for that matter. But laughing at the holocaust is like laughing at the Bosnian muslim massacres.

One can’t compare Ground-zero with Mecca although u can compare it with Vatican..Muslims have not built this Masjid in Vatican then why this hue and cry ?Why donot Jews first talk about Vatican and and Banaras ,India,etc.Let them go there if they r so much interested in building their Synagogues.Why r they only after Muslims who provided them shelter when none was willing to let them into their lands.I respect all religions but this hypocrisy cannot be tolerated at all.I wud be the first to stand up for jews if I see that they r being oppressed,but here the reverse is true because it is jews whooppressing other people.
