A shy and retiring type, Leah has commissioned stories from horse fighting in the Philippines to the Uiyghur minority who live in East Turkestan (China likes to call it Xinjiang). She has stood in the rain for over ten hours outside Tony Blair's house only to be told by his charming wife to "fuck off to hell". A tear-gas addict, she manages to juggle the slippery balls of protest, journalism, and pop culture. She was also that pain in the arse who repeatedly rang the Foreign Office duty officer on 26 December 2004 at 2am to tell him he had an international disaster on his hands.
